Company
Make modern tools safe — don't ban them.
SpectGrid is a browser-layer data-security perimeter. AI is where the risk is sharpest today; the mission is broader.
Our mission
Control over where your data goes on the web.
Give organizations control over where their sensitive data goes on the web — so people can use the modern tools they need without the company losing control of its secrets, its customers’ data, or its reputation. We start where the risk is sharpest today — AI tools — and extend the same precision to every web app that matters.
Our story
Why we built SpectGrid
SpectGrid started from a simple observation: the moment generative AI went mainstream, every employee gained a powerful new tool — and every company gained a new way to leak its most sensitive data, one paste at a time. Traditional DLP was built for email and file transfer; it never sees a secret typed into a chat box. And attackers exploit the same moment in reverse, cloning login pages to harvest credentials.
We didn’t think the answer was to ban the tools — that just pushes people to personal devices and unmanaged accounts, where there’s no visibility at all. The answer was precision: let people use what they need, but inspect what leaves, enforce policy per tool and per data type, and verify the sites people trust with their passwords — all in the browser, at the exact moment of risk, without the secret ever leaving the machine.
So we built SpectGrid: a browser-based security layer that gives security teams real visibility and control over how data moves to the web — starting with AI, because that’s where the risk is sharpest right now, and designed to extend wherever the next risk appears.
What we believe
Precision over prohibition
Enable, don't block
Security that bans the tools people need just moves the risk out of view. We make the tools safe to use.
At the moment of risk
The best place to prevent a leak is where it happens — the browser, the paste, the submit — not a report after the fact.
Honest by default
Local detection, redacted telemetry, and claims we can stand behind. No theater.
